Nissan GT-R test drive

nihon_car_gt-r_review.jpg

What’s 3.8 liter V8 (VR38DETT) + twin turbo + 480 horsepower equal? Why, the Nissan GT-R of course!

The lucky boys over at Nihon Car were able to get some seating time behind Nissan’s latest Skyline. Complete with engine, exhaust, and boost sounds, they’ve shot a beautiful video of the car running around a closed road and in night-time Tokyo. They even give us a peek of the car’s interior, especially its digital gauges.

They claim the interior isn’t quite to par with the Porche 911 or Audi R8. But, the thing’s a beast! 0-60 mph comes and goes in about 3.8 seconds.

Enough talk, go watch the video.

Puma Bike: no bike lock needed

puma_glow-rider.jpg

This isn’t no ordinary bike. Called the Glow Rider, the Puma branded bike (made by Biomega) glows in the dark. So now you can ride in the dark without wearing those silly looking reflector jackets. However, that’s not all. It even partially folds for easy carrying and storing. You simply need to disconnect the wire down the frame and fold away. The tension wire also acts like a lock, so it doesn’t fold on you while you are riding. So, you won’t need any bike locks to prevent this bike from being stolen. Just disconnect the wire!

Let’s just hope the thieves don’t have their own fitting tension wire.

Wallfa: both wall and chair

wallfa.jpg

Designer, Jordi Canudas, designed a two sided furniture called the Wallfa for the D3 contest at this year’s Imm Cologne. Made from a stretchy membrane type of material, it provides comfortable seating on both sides. The stretchy material causes the wall in between to stretch outwards when in use, indicating that someone is sitting on the other side. You and your friends will have to sit around the “bump”. The wall provides almost no privacy, since sound and touch is easily transferred through the wall.

I don’t think that looks comfortable with a bump present if someone is sitting on the other side. It’s a little awkward especially if the person on other side is of some heft. Nonetheless, it is snazzy looking!

Adam DIXX Digital Putter

adam-dixx-digital-putter.jpg

For the Tiger Woods wannabes, here’s a digital putter that’ll help your golf game…at least when it comes to putting that is. The Adam DIXX Digital Putter analyzes your putting swing, such as the path, impact position, face angle, swing tempo, and speed balance.

Depending on your putt, the display on the club will even tell you whether or not your swing met the ideal standards for a perfect putt by displaying a “NICE PUTT” message. If your putt was below ideal (it sucked), you’ll get a “TRY AGAIN” message. The putter can even save up to 50 putts for future analysis to see if you swing is improving.

The Adam DIXX Digital Putter costs just under $400 on Amazon.
