Designer, Jordi Canudas, designed a two sided furniture called the Wallfa for the D3 contest at this year’s Imm Cologne. Made from a stretchy membrane type of material, it provides comfortable seating on both sides. The stretchy material causes the wall in between to stretch outwards when in use, indicating that someone is sitting on the other side. You and your friends will have to sit around the “bump”. The wall provides almost no privacy, since sound and touch is easily transferred through the wall.

I don’t think that looks comfortable with a bump present if someone is sitting on the other side. It’s a little awkward especially if the person on other side is of some heft. Nonetheless, it is snazzy looking!
