The Real Fireplace Illuminational Heater is an actual heater (warm air comes out the vents) but it’s not your typical electrical heater. It features an LCD that displays the burning logs and glow of an actual fireplace. Think of it as a virtual fireplace.
It’s perfect for those who can’t afford to install a fireplace or for those that just want the illusion of one. It’s also perfect for those that just don’t want to clean chimneys.
You can grab one for about 25,800 Yen ($241 USD).

I bet you couldn’t tell what the heck the image above was until you read the title. Designed by Marco Dessi, the Wall Radiator is a modern approach to those unsightly home radiators. The actual entire piece consists of “tiles” that can be rotated to your desired look. To turn it off, you simply adjust the tile on the very left. Rotate it clockwise to turn it on, turn it counter-clockwise to turn it off.

For those of us that handle sensitive documents, here’s a handy gadget for you. Thanko’s USB Paper Shredder is portable enough for you to carry around in the emergency you need to shred those classified documents. The shredder measures 74 x 140 x 115 cm, so it shouldn’t take much desktop real estate. Unfortunately, it seems it’s only strong enough to shred paper, up to standard size A4.
It costs 2,980 Yen or about $28 USD.

If you’re like me, you have a tough time reading measurements from a tape measure…especially if the length doesn’t come down to a whole number. I hate counting them damn, tiny lines…is that 8/16th or 9/16th? Well, luckily, some genius thought of the idea of putting an LCD on a tape measure so that it can read out the length down to 1/16 of an inch. The Digital Measuring Tape can even store your measurements with a simple press of a button. The tape reaches 16 feet and can display the measurements in 5 different modes: feet inches fractions, inches fractions, inches decimal, feet decimal, and centimeters decimal. It will even automatically turn off or on depending on whether or not the tape has been retracted.

Do you have roommates that just watch the dumbest TV shows ever? Are you guys constantly battling over who gets the remote control? Well, with the Remote Jammer, you’ll win the Remote wars. Simply activate the device and it will render all TV remotes useless.
You can now keep the TV at your favorite channel by keeping the jammer on. This way, your roommate can’t change the channel. Muuwhahaha.
Be the evil roommate for £5 or $10. You can buy the Remote Jammer over at Red5.

Ravers rejoice! You can now get your rave on in your bathtub with the Underwater Light Show. The light comes with 5 different colors patterns (LED) and even floats like a rubber ducky. Ecstasy not included.
It’ll work awesome in your tub or swimming pool, though I suggest buying more than one for your pool. They cost £7.95 or $16 USD at Gizoo.

It’s not uncommon to jot things down on our hands when we’re in a hurry. From grocery lists to simple notes, our hands are like convenient paper. The problem is, it can be kinda hard to write notes on our hands especially if we have lots of things to jot down. From a company called Fred & Friends comes the To-Do Tattoo. Simply apply the “washable” tattoo to your hands and use the “skin-safe” gel pen to jot your notes down. It keeps your notes tidy for easy readability.

If you’re not a car nut, skip this post. If you are, these cars need no introduction. We know both these cars are screamers. But, which one wins on top? The boys over at Fifth Gear find out. Watch the video after the jump. I vote for the M3. That carbon fiber roof is sexy.
