The U.S. Navy ran a test today on its 32-megajoule rail gun that’s capable of hitting targets 200 nautical miles way…that’s about 230 ‘regular’ miles. The rail gun uses electromagnetics (electricity) instead of gun powder to propel the projectile at speeds up to Mach 7, that’s about 5,328 mph. Thankfully, there’s alway Youtube for videos.
