We live in a fast-paced world nowadays. Who has time to fill a kettle with water, place it atop a stove, and wait for it to boil? No one right? People have to get their tea, hot cocoa, or instant coffee in a timely manner. Tefal has engineered a water heating kettle that can deliver 8 ounces of hot water in 3 seconds, called the Quick Cup. Yep, 3 short seconds. Compare that to 3 minutes on a traditional kettle. Can you say instant Cup O Noodles?
The Tefal Quick Cup sports a 1.5L filtered water tank and a patented heating system. It also features a cool touch exterior, adjustable dosage control, automatic mug size function, anti-dust lid, and an easy lift handle. It’ll even deliver filtered water, in case you just want plain cool water.
For those wondering, the Tefal Quick Cup uses 1/3 less energy than an ordinary kettle. It’s only available in Autralia and in the UK for $130 AU ($117 USD).
With collaboration with NASA, Speedo has developed the world’s fastest swimsuit. Using a special type of fabric, the swimsuit is lightweight, low drag, water repellent, and fast drying allowing the swimmer to cut through water effortlessly.
The LZR Racer will be available in May for $290 to $550 USD for both male and female.
With the iPhone as the current “hotness”, other cellphone manufacturers are scrambling to offer a phone that could rival the iPhone’s touchscreen experience. Sony Ericsson is just one of many companies aiming to kick the iPhone off its throne. Sony’s weapon? The G900 Touchscreen phone. Measuring 106 x 49 x 13 mm, the G900 sports a 2.4-inch display (240 x 320 pixel), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 160 MB onboard memory, and M2 card slot.
Oh yeah, it also has a stylus. It should hit the streets in Q2 2008.
Let’s face it. Some people have really boring jobs. So boring that some can’t help but sleep while on the job. If you are one of the unlucky few, here’s a little something that’ll help you sleep without getting caught by the boss…maybe. The plan is to stick these wide-open eye stickers over your tired eyes. This will give the illusion of you being wide awake, but behind the stickers you’re fast asleep!
Only one problem. Can you sleep sitting straight up?
Sometimes it can be a little hard determining whether or not something is “recyclable”. Fortunately, most items contain a recycling symbol on its packaging which contains a numerical value denoting whether or not that specific item can be recycled. The Barcode Trashcan removes the guessing by allowing the user to “scan” the item he/she wishes to recycle. If the item can be recycled, the appropriate bin will open.
Easy as pie. The Barcode Trashcan is designed by Woo Seok Park.
