The Navigon 8100 is a little bit more upscale than your average ‘budget’ GPS. It features a brushed metal shell, 4.8-inch wide touchscreen, voice recognition, faster route calculation, and a 3D accelerator to process the 3D imagery. Its also got the ‘normal’ things you’d expect in a GPS.

* 4.8″ (480 x 272 WQVGA) touchscreen
* Bluetooth
* FM transmitter
* Picture viewer
* Music player
* Traffic Message Channel Pro (TMC Pro) – for traffic updates
* Voice recognition
* Lane Assist
* PanoramaView 3D (shows terrain and other geographic information)
* Outlook address synchronization

The Navigon 8100 should hit Europe by the end of April for 449 Euros ($683). No word on a North American release.
