The problem with ordinary powerstrips is that people who can’t bend over (like the elderly) have a tough time unplugging their devices. Sometimes, the powerstrips are placed in an area that is not easily accessible, like under a desk or table. Here’s where Mansour Ourasanah’s Eject Powerstrip concept proves useful. As part of the Greener Gadgets Design Competition 2008, the Eject Powerstrip features foot pedals that can be pressed down to eject the plug. It supports 4 sockets, each with its own pedal. The Eject Powerstrip is recyclable, so you can throw it out and replace it without the guilt of ruining the environment.
This is also awesome for lazy people like myself. One question though. What if you want to re-plug the device in? You’ll still have to bend over.

Nothing pisses me off than a jackass with alot of money ruining a good thing. In this case, a very good thing: a Ferrari 360 Modena. Dan Cawley, the *genius* behind this abomination, stretched a Ferrari 360. Look, I understand if someone wants to take a Ferrari (or any high end car) and add rims. Fine. Want to add a stereo? Be my guest. But, don’t f*cking turn it into a limo! Okay, okay…I can hear some people saying, he bought the car, he should be able to do whatever he wants with it. Yeah, true, but it’s still pretty stupid.
Thankfully, Ferrari isn’t amused. I believe they vomited upon seeing it. So, they’ve sent their stampede of lawyers after Mr. Crawley ordering him to remove all Ferrari logo and associated emblems. Ferrari doesn’t want their name on the fugly thing “infringed” limo.

Do you live in a crappy neighborhood with nothing too look at outside your window? Is the only thing you see from your window a brick wall? Or, are you one of the unfortunate to have a window-less office? Have no fret. The Luminous Virtual Windows from The Sky Factory is here to your rescue. Simply mount the Virtual Windows and you have an instant exotic scenic view. It should work with any image you want, but essentially, the window mounts on your wall and features a back lighting system for optimal “viewing experience”. To be exact, it is a wooden or aluminum (your choice) picture frame with T-5 fluorescents or RFfreeLux LED edge lighting. Now you can have something worth looking at.
To order, The Sky Factory requires you to phone in your inquiries due to the large amount of options available.

Oh dear.
The USB Flash Drive Swarovski Crystal Engagement Ring is a concept from Jennifer Flume, who, I’m assuming, is extremely geeky for coming up with this thing. Perhaps, she wants to be proposed with one?
The concept combines a tacky USB flash drive with a Swarovski crystal. I mean, why not? We’ve seen diamond encrusted phones, laptops, and computers. Heck, we’ve even seen Swarovski crystal and diamond studded Scrabble Boards and Hot Wheels. So, another jewelry-gadget hybrid can’t do no harm…
No idea on the size of the flash drive, but the crystal is f’ing huge. Again, just a concept, so no pricing information is present…but who cares? …Come ‘on, you aren’t seriously thinking of buy one…right?

We’ve all seen the MacBook Air commercial (after the jump) where the Air is stuffed inside a manila folder, with the purpose to showcase the computer’s slim figure. Well, Civilian Lab has taken that one step forward, with it’s Air Manila - a leather manila folder MacBook Air case. It looks very high end and mimics the exact look of a manila folder, down to the red string. It costs $55 and Civilian Lab plans to start shipping the leather case in April. The Air Manila is exclusively fitted for Apple’s MacBook Air.

Highlights:
* quality durable leather
* 1/4″ foam padding
* fuzzy inner lining
* hand stitched
* heat venting perforations

If you’re the singing-in-the-shower type, check out Pioneer’s AS-PS66 waterproof speakers. You can now sing your favorite song in with full music. The device actually opens allowing you to place your MP3 player inside. Connect your audio device to the AS-PS66’s audio input jack and let the concert begin! The device measures measures 57mm wide and delivers an output of 0.3W, so don’t expect anything ‘booming’ coming out of this thing.
Should hit Japan in April for 4,000 Yen ($40 USD).
Personally, I think the Pioneer AS-PS66 looks rather cheap. If you’re interested, you might want to take a gander at the Rain Drop iPod Bathroom Speakers.
