Apple iPhone Nano concept: it’s a fatty

iphone-nano.jpg

Found on hien_k45c’s flicker page, the conceptual design gives us an idea of what an Apple iPhone Nano may look like, should the Cupertino company ever decide to unleash one. The concept maintains the “Home” button found on the current iPhone and iPod Touch. In fact, it looks like an iPhone/Touch collided with an iPod Nano — it has that stumpy look. Landscape and portrait orientations are proposed by the concept.

I don’t know about you, but I’m kinda digging the ‘fatty Nano’ design.

Musical Japanese Road

musical-road-striations.jpg

Not only does Japan have the awesome-est gadgets and TV shows, they also have the coolest road in the world. Folks from the Hokkaido Industrial Research Institute have carved out striations into a stretch of road that when driven over plays a musical melody. I can’t explain in words what it sounds like, but, thankfully, there’s a video.

Counter-Strike running on iPod Touch

An uber geek by the name of Steve has managed to port a “buggy” version of Counter-Strike onto his iPod Touch, using iPhoneDoom. The controls don’t look too hot, as you can see in the grainy video. It just doesn’t look responsive at all. But, credit is due where credit is due.

Instructions on getting Counter-Strike on your iPod Touch, here.

T-Sketch T-shirt

t-sketch-t-shirt.jpg

Ahh, another shirt for the attention whores. The T-Sketch features an white board-esque panel on the front of the shirt that when written on activates a back light illuminating the message. So, now you can write any geeky message that you cleverly come up with on your chest. Hopefully, your attempt at coolness pays off. The back light can be adjusted from a gentle glow to an irritating pulsing strobe — which is perfect for clubs. The message panel can also be conveniently wiped clean, should you wish to remove or edit your message.

The T-Sketch T-shirt is powered by a lightweight battery pack that takes 2 AAA batteries. £29.99 ($60) at Thumbs Up UK.

Cigarette Box Cell Phone

cigarette-cell-phone.jpg

A Chinese gadget takes two “addicting” things and marries them into one “crazy” device: cigarettes and cell phones. Yup! About the size of an ordinary box of cigarettes, the Chinese made phone makes calls and holds cigarettes. I guess it makes a great hiding spot for the “quitters” still smoking in the closet. The phone can be purchased in various cigarette boxes, so if you fancy a Marlboro phone, you can have one.

GearFuse reports that the phone is dual GSM and has a microSD slot, MP3 player, VGA camera, and a colored LCD screen. The Cigarette Phone costs “a reasonable” $175.

AT&T’s Pogo Web Browser: doesn’t do too much web surfing

att-pogo-web-browser.jpg

AT&T is working on a 3D web browser, called Pogo, that not only brings you to Google and MySpace, but is also capable of organizing your images, music, and videos. Unfortunately, we don’t see much “web browsing” in the demo, but we do see AT&T trying to be all trendy and hip with Pogo’s fancy visualization and tab switching graphics.
