Ever wanted to sneak alcohol into, say, school? Into work? Now you can with Reef’s Dram Sandal. The Dram Sandal features a polyurethane encapsulated canteen in the heel with a screw cap. You can smuggle your booze anywhere! Of course, made by Reef, the sandal should fit very comfortably while walking around, as it sports contoured compression-molded EVA footbeds. It is also water proof, so it’s safe for beach use. The only problems I see with this are:
1. Drinking from a sandal that you’ve been wearing all day is pretty gross. I wouldn’t wanna smell my feet while I’m drinking.
2. You’ll be getting disgusting looks from observers. But, hey, I doubt you’ll care as soon as you’re buzzed.
The Reef Dram Sandal costs $40 - $46 depending on your foot size at Amazon.
If you want something a little more “real” than WiiWare’s Ouchi de Puti Puti, check out the Electronic Bubble Wrap Keychain from ThinkGeek. The device sports 8 “bubbles” that provide the same tactile feel as real bubble wrap, allowing endless hours of bubble wrap popping. Each press of a bubble provides a “popping” sound and for every 100th pop the device plays a random sound: a boing, a bark, a rude noise, etc. I don’t know what makes it so addicting, but everyone loves popping bubble wrap!
The Electronic Bubble Wrap Keychain measures 1.75 x 1.5 x 0.5 inches and costs $9.99. It is portable enough to fit in your pocket for times when you just gotta have your bubble wrap popping fix. Check out the video.
Aww…isn’t that a cute kitty? Oh wait, don’t SHOOT! Discovery Channel’s Future Weapons did a little segment on the “Kitty CornerShot” that uses the well-known Israeli made CornerShot rifle, but the “newer” version utilizes a cuddly kitty teddy bear for added deadliness. The premise is simple, mount the teddy bear on your gun’s barrel and hopefully your enemies get fooled by the cute stuffed animal. So, as they approach the “kitty” you pull the trigger on the unsuspecting bad guys. The Kitty can be used on 9mm, 5.56mm, and 7.62mm AK CornerShot variants. Apparently, Israeli’s Special Forces have actually used such a tactic with success. How clever!
Designed by Art Lebedev, the Defendius is supposed to protect unauthorized entry through a door. However, honestly, I don’t see how this helps burglars from entering through your front door. I mean, mechanically, it’s like any other door chain, except the Defendius is a pain in the ass to open. To open the door, you have to go through a maze. In fact, it probably makes it more tough for you to get outside, than for a crook to get inside.
If you have ever had a car break down on you in the dark, in some deserted area, then you know how convenient a flashlight in your car can really be. The Rechargeable LED Torch is a snazzy looking flashlight that recharges in your car’s cigarette lighter. Its 2-inch metal frame is small enough to fit in your glove box or left charging in your cigarette lighter, yet it is powerful enough to shine a high-intensity beam. It features an eco-friendly battery and provides 120 minutes of lighting time per 7 hour charge. The LED Torch is compatible with most 12V cigarettes lighters.
It comes in five colors: black, blue, green, purple, and red. The Rechargeable LED Torch costs £12.99 ($26 USD) at FlashWear.
LoL. This one’s pretty cool. A dog, for some reason, is so used to having the door opened for it that it won’t go through a glass-less door. The man even sticks his hand through the “door” in full view of the dog, but the dog won’t walk out. At one point, the man walks through the door, but again, the dog just doesn’t buy it. It just patiently yields right at the door frame waiting for someone to physically open it.
I mean, doesn’t it smell the fresh air, telling it that it’s safe to go across? Last time I checked, dogs have awesome sense of smell. Maybe not this one?
Well, I don’t know what to say about this one. I don’t know if this is fake or not (April Fool’s?), as all we see is an elephant’s trunk (supposedly) holding a paint brush painting an elephant. We do see the elephant walk up to the easel and during the final touches the camera does zoom out a bit. Admittingly, it sure does look real and I wonder how they managed to train the huge thing. If it’s a hoax, well…it’s the best April Fool’s prank I’ve seen.
