Honda has been doing some research since 1999 in search of technology to help those with weakened leg muscles to enjoy the freedom of mobility. Using technology from their research and development of their ASIMO robot, Honda has developed a walking assist device that straps on to a user’s leg. By using motors and a control system designed by Honda, the device assists the user in walking, providing that extra “muscle” power.
