Some people just can’t take the cold like other people can. Someone may want the air conditioner off while someone else wants it on. Now everyone can get along with the Free Wind Air Conditioner designed by Hyun Jin Yoon and Eun Hak Lee. Still a concept, the Free Wind is an air conditioner that is mounted on the ceiling with direct air flows that can be customized to user preferences.

The Free Wind air conditioner earned silver at the 2008 International Design Excellence Awards. It has 6 fans that can each move up and down, and left and right. Each fan also has 3 wings for horizontal move and 8 wings for vertical move. They are operated by the smart system that uses the fans by controlling its direction and strength to efficiently reach your desired room temperature. The fan speed can also be manually controlled by the remote control that is touch sensitive.
