HTC Touch HD: iPhone killer?

Well, I don’t think so. But, that’s not to say that the HTC Touch HD isn’t one slick looking quad-band (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) phone. It’s got a Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528 MHz processor, 512 MB ROM, 288MB RAM, 3.8-inch touch-sensitive screen with 480 x 800 pixel (WVGA) resolution, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, GPS and A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and a 5 megapixel camera to name a few. Unlike the HTC Touch Diamond, the Touch HD loses the directional pad in favor of four face buttons and a larger touch-screen panel, which utilizes HTC’s TouchFLO interface technology on top of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Watch a demonstration of the phone after the jump.

Unfortunately, the demo of the HTC Touch HD is in French, so I have no idea what they’re saying. But, the phone sure seems very snappy.
