HTC’s slender S740 is a Windows Mobile 6.1 powered smartphone, that unfortunately, does not come with any sort of touch-sensitive user interface. Some might find the lack of a touchscreen a relief, while others might feel left out from the iPhone crowd. Regardless, inside its piano black finish the HTC S740 comes packed with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch TFT QVGA LCD, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, 3.2 mega pixel camera with video recorder, GPS, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot. Another downside for the United States is that the HTC S740 is more for the European market. It’s a quad-band GSM and dual-band 900/2100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA 7.2 Mbps phone. Therefore, its only EDGE and Wi-Fi here in the U.S. Gallery and full specs after the jump.

HTC has not announced any pricing or availability details.
