I don’t know why this LCD-equipped shift knob from German tuner AC Schnitzer is necessary. Unless you plan on using the shift knob for show purposes, this thing is otherwise kinda useless. However, if you plan on using the LCD to remind you which gear your in, umm…please stop driving a manual and go back to an automatic. But, I digress, the LCD Shift Knob is cool…sort of.  Although, I must admit, the red LCD does look nice.

AC Schnitzer has not released any pricing or availability details, but they do plan on installing the LCD Shift Knobs into their MINI and BMW projects.
