The myLifter is a winch looking device that’s about the size of an adult fist capable of lifting 50 pounds. The obvious use for the myLifter is in the garage to lift up bikes and storage containers off of the floor. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 so you can download an app to your Apple device to lift or lower objects with the simple push of a button. If you don’t own a smartphone, you can mount an optional remote control to your garage wall which will also let you control the myLifter.
The myLifter is easy to install with the included lightweight bracket. Simply mount the bracket on the ceiling, attach the myLifter to the bracket using pins, and plug it to the wall outlet. On top of that, it’s also safe as it features a braking system that securely holds your valuable belongings and is equipped with a current regulator so it will not lift items beyond its capability. It is only compatible with Apple’s line of iDevices: iPhone 4S/5/5s/5c, all iPad minis, iPod touch 5th generation, and all iPads third generation and up.
The myLifter is currently a Kickstarter project with 19 days to go as of this post. It has exceeded its goal of $50,000 with over $82,000 worth of pledges. To get in on it, you’ll need to cough up $95 for a myLifter.
