18 year old Josef PruĊĦa and his brother of Czech Republic have managed to engineer a method to control a remote controlled car with the Apple iPhone 3G. Using an iPhone 3G (and its accelerometer), OSCemote, Max/Msp, and the Arduino microprocessor development kit, Josef was able to create an iPhone app that features “five buttons, four of them you can use for traditional driving, and when you press the last one, it unlocks the accelerometer” allowing the control of the R/C car by tilting the iPhone.

Kyle Downes, an Australian and woodwork master, decided to go a little geeky with his latest project. Instead of making a boring, ordinary table, he decided to make a NES controller/coffee table/storage box. Believe it or not, the table-sized controller is functional as can be seen in the video below. This is certainly no amateur job.

Shopping…the cool way
If you thought grocery shopping was boring, watch the video below. Shopping for toilet paper and cereal never looked so fun. Apparently, the video is an advertisement for Max Havelaar, a non-profit foundation organization promoting Fairtrade. I wonder how many takes it took to film the video?
